Gary Green Jasper Cuff Bracelet

$327.00

Many stones are nature’s works of art, and this Gary Green Jasper is no exception!

This Gary Green Jasper,  with its grounding, earthy colors of wood and water,  form a wearable connection with nature.   This unusual stone, surrounded in fine silver, is set on a slight angle to enhance the movement of colors in the stone.  The sterling silver cuff is textured with a subtle bamboo pattern.   Large, imperfect bubbles accent this stone at its sides, continuing the theme of the perfections and imperfections of nature.

A beautifully organic piece of jewelry, this cuff fits a medium to large wrist.  Interior measurement is 2-1/2’ wide and 2” deep, with a 1-1/2’ wide opening.

Gemstone information:

Also called Larsonite and referred to as “petrified bog wood,” this unique stone comes from a location near McDermott, Oregon, on the Nevada/Oregon border.    It’s believed to be wood that was covered by volcanic activity between 11-15 million years ago.   The volcanic ash that covered this area deprived the plants of oxygen, halting the decay process.    Minerals from the volcanic ash then acted as the replacement material for the petrification/mineralization that gives this stone its greens, blues, browns, oranges and pinks.
